


"Oh, Dad saw lots of stuff, Jan. He was made up. He defo has all the get up for birding...binocs, didgi-scope, you name it!!!! Here is his list:
4th Sept 2008 Bowen Island: 1) Turkey Vulture 2) Raven 3) Red-Breasted Merganser 4) Chestnut-backed Chickadee 5) Red-Breasted Nuthatch 6) Stellar’s Jay 7) Mountain Chickadee 8) Orange-Crowned Warbler 9) General 10) Deer
5th Sept 2008 Bowen Island: 1) Pileated Woodpecker 2) Pied-Billed Grebe 3) Ravens 4) Turkey Vulture 5) General Sightings, House Sparrow, North Western, CrowMallard, Great Blue Heron, Black-Capped Chickadee, Canada Goose, Barn Swallow, Moorhen, Herring, Gull, Cormorant, Rock Pigeon, European Starling,
Didn't see any eagles but we did see tons of turkey vultures. Dad counted about 70 different types of bird/raptor in BC that he saw which we don't have in England! "
